Message from the Executive Director:

As I began to compose this letter, I realized how quickly my time here as the Executive Director of the Philomath Youth Activities Club has passed. It's hard to believe that it has been over twenty six years since I began with this great organization. This time has come with many rewarding moments, as well as some challenges. PYAC has gone through many seasons of transition, and has always seemed to learn, grow, and become stronger as a result. As an organization, we have made solid progress on many fronts, including building our wonderful facilities, expanding our programs offerings, and most importantly, working to promote healthy physical, social, and emotional development of youth.

I am honored to be just the 6th Director of this outstanding organization in its 35 year history. This legacy of leadership is a tribute to the success and stability of PYAC, and to the belief in the importance of our purpose. Over the years, this belief of ours has been held in common by our stakeholders and community.

Personally, I am truly humbled to lead the incredibly talented and dedicated people who work and volunteer for PYAC. It is their time, efforts, and energy that have made us what we are today.

As we look to tomorrow, we know that there are many challenges we must face together, as positive youth development is an ongoing process that must always be nurtured. We are committed to continuing to grow and strengthen our core community partnerships, all the while being open and excited to establish new ones. It is these relationships, along with the work of our dedicated staff and volunteers, that allow us to work toward our mission of positive youth development.

We hope that this website will give you some insight into our organization and what we have to offer the youth in our community. If you should have an interest in learning more about our organization or taking a facilities tour, please do not hesitate to call us.
