Safety Town
SAFETY TOWN DATE: August 19-23, 2024
Philomath Safety Town is a safety education program designed for children entering kindergarten in the fall. Under the guidance of a teacher, law enforcement officer, and teen instructors, children are introduced to many types of safety concepts. They will practice being safe pedestrians and drivers of peddle cars on our miniature town. The children are taught through songs, art projects, videos, a bus field trip, and many presentations. We provide a fun learning experience for the children. The curriculum is provided by the National Safety Town Center and is adapted for our local area.
Some of the topics we cover are bike, pedestrian, stranger, pet, gun, playground, boat and water, fire safety and much more!
